Passwords? nay, requires typing! Fingerprint scanning? nay, requires moving a hand! Face scanning?!! YAY!
Okay i seriously don’t think this is useful, … but it is interesting! You can log into your Ubuntu system using your face to gain access, using the webcam of course! Here’s a quick video that shows the functionality!
Till now it hasn’t been packaged, so if you want this, you’ll have to follow some simple steps provided here! And By the way, if you’re wondering if GDM is supported as well, yes it is and also provided in the same OMG!Ubuntu blogpost!
Though there is one comment that caught my attention, by Tommy Brunn:
If I had a webcam I would so try taking a photo of myself, printing it out and using that to log in.
I aslo would like to try that, … if only i had a printer! XD
