I couldn’t help but do this when I read the Samsung Ultrathin 9 thingy xD
Just in case you didn’t know where did that “VS” come from, Street Fighter 2 xD
Samsung Ultrathin 9 | MacBook Air | |
CPU | Core i5 (1.4GHz to 2.3GHz) 3MB L2 | Core 2 Duo 1.86GHz |
RAM | 4GB DDR3 | 2GB to 4GB DDR3 |
Storage | 128MB SSD | 128GB to 256GB |
Weight | 2.89lbs | 2.9lbs |
Graphics | Intel HD GT2 (Inside the CPU, I wonder how it’ll do) | nVIDIA GeForce 300M with 256MB shared off your main RAM |
Battery | 6.5 Hours | 7 Hours |
Etc | USB 3.0 (I’m not sure of that myself), WiFi a/b/g/n, WiMaxi and Bluetooth 3.0 | USB, SD card slot, WiFi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0 |
Price | Starting $1,599 | Starting $1,299 |
Pay ~$300 more for USB 3.0 (I’m not sure yet), Bluetooth 3.0 (Is it out yet?) and 2nd Generation Core i5 (Where it has the GPU inside the CPU, I wonder how good it’ll perform… And just in case, comes with Windows 7 [Even though some would install Ubuntu or whatever Linux distro])?
Pay ~$300 less for current\old technology (Core 2 Duo, GeForce 300M, USB 2.0 and Bluetooth 2.0)?
Hmmmmmm… As sarcastic as I sound, it is a good question to ask whether to save up ~85KD on lightweight laptops or not 😛
I will vote for the Samsung, since many people complain about that MacBook Air
I’m with samsung as well, only because it’s offering equivalent specs and it’s not Apple!! XP
But one question, the Core i5, is it the first or the second generation of the processor?
Oh and btw, in more civilized countries, you can get a refund if you don’t want windows!! That rocks, it saves bucks!
Lets see:
a Shitty laptop with a fruit on it or a good laptop with nice specs (not sure on the video card though)
I would wipe the windows off of course, and install the superior Debian.
@Anixous: Yes its 2nd Generation Core i5
it got 128MB SSD ? for windows 95 ? 😛
I love doing this xD
