Starting a project

OK everyone… Now I’m getting serious…

I’ll graduate soon so I have nothing to do recently… I suck at hardcore programming (Not that experienced yet)… So I have other plans…

I’ve been telling my friends in real life about it (for almost 4 years) and haven’t actually worked on it much… But now I’ll start getting serious…

The project is, developing a network flight simulation game…

I know it’s done before, but I still want to do it…

One of my friends (More like a relative) is a hardcore programmer (He made a 3D OS with “Hello, World!” message once) and he will work on the programming side… So I have to fill in everything else…

The game will run on Windows (Sorry SIGTERMer… You have to use Wine or mono)… It’ll probably work on DirectX (Unless I can convince him to work things up on OpenGL)…

Wish us luck everyone… If things turned out the way I’m imagining, it’ll be something really entertaining =D

  1. why not use SDL and openGL. using these two libraries will make the code compilable on windows, linux, bsd, heck even mac (i think). if you decide to ditch directX and use these two, i might be able to help 🙂

  2. SIGTERMer:
I’m not handling programming side so I won’t argue whether to use SDL, OpenGL or DirectX… But since we’re working for Windows, DirectX will be the best option since we’re developing it for Windows

And no I haven’t read it yet… I will pass by soon inshallah

    Thanks *blush*
