Translation to English:
There’s an old joke which goes by this “An Asian guy found bent 100fils. he fixed it for 250fils”. And that is what have been applied on a resident “He seems goofy” when he found a 5fils. He rented a taxi to go to Rumaithiya Police Department to hand that “sum” to the Police Officer. So, the man paid half a KD to hand over 5fils. I don’t know what to say, but may god cure him.
I’d like to point out few things:
1) How racist this Abdulrazaq is. Asian? Don’t know a better English word that explains the joke? Like, a drunktard? Or just, someone!? Don’t get me wrong, I do get racist sometimes for he fun of it. But this is MY BLOG, and that’s Al-Watan NEWSPAPER.
2) How unprofessional, stupid, rude, douchebag, retard (Insert more insulting words) this writer is that he’s brave enough to insult such an honest resident regardless in a nationally spread newspaper? Yes, the 5fils can buy nothing, but he’s fulfilling his responsibility toward the society while this asshole just sits behind his desk insult this honest man!
3) How unprofessional Al-Watan editors can be for letting such a small article slip without either editing it to make it less insulting if not delete it from existence?
4) How unprofessional Al-Watan HR can be to hire this writer!?
Now to me, Al-Watan is just another Kuwait Times (Specially since they falsely stirred the photography ban confusion including a live interview that technically doesn’t mention any valid ban from the government side [The bans were private by markets\malls\institutes managements] and I’ve proved that in The Scientific Center photoshoot in Friday!!)
Al-Watan yo… No… Abdulrazaq Al-Najjar, go to hell!

Al Watan newspaper is trying to be funny more than being honest. I still can not understand how they allowed this type of mockery about foreigners.
I swear to god if this guy was a kuwaiti you will find a whole new words in there describing the honesty and blah blah ..

Regardless what we use (I personally use 9a3eedi because I’m surrounded by them more. In fact, my dad’s best friend [who’s like a father to me] is 9a3eedi), it’s UNPROFESSIONAL to mention that in A NEWSPAPER.
I treat the way I am treated. I’d crack open a Kuwaiti’s head if he offended a close Indian friend of mine (Yes, I have an Indian friend) who have been treating me nicely… As much as there are Indians that I don’t treat well, there are many Kuwaitis I don’t treat well too.
Can be this, can be that, can be stupid, can be insane, can be airheaded or can be anything.
The point here is not the integrity of the guy who found the coin intention or how smart he is.
The point here is how unprofessional Abdulrazaq and Al-Watan are in this article.

If it’s his private thing, it’ll reflect back at him. If it’s his newspaper, it’ll reflect back at his newspaper. It’s an action he makes and he becomes responsible for it. What he did is he did an action and the responsibility relays on Al-Watan newspaper.

first, please don’t get upset from what I have to say. Also, don’t reply to this comment because I wont bother replying to yours, nothing personal 🙂
first, freedom of speech has limits defined by law. You can’t go insulting people, you can’t expose country secrets, you can’t lie to a judge (form of free speech). So “freedom of speech” doesn’t grant you the right to say anything you want.
Second, A website administrator has the right to remove anything from his site since he has ownership of it (i.e. it’s not a public place). So even if what you said was considered free speech, the administrator can delete with or without a reason. I’m not choosing sides here (yet), I’m merely defending my right as a web admin to delete whatever I see inappropriate and disruptive on my site.
now on to the topic of discussion (I didn’t bother reading all the comments so don’t kill me if i miss something):
hq, loolykinns was ranting about the writers racism and lack of respect for an honest deed. he was not refereeing to the monetary value involved, just the deed itself, which is rightly justified.
however, you both are wrong in accepting racism to be a part of your lives. instead of trying to change yourselves, you choose to brag about it. You do know that once the oil runs out, we will become the butt of all raciest jokes. In fact, I think we are now.
now whether the deed-doer did the right thing or not depends on the guy’s intent. Personally, I would’ve picked it up and placed it on the nearest surface. paying money to go to a police station to to hand over 5 fils seems a bit extreme.
and finally,
Don’t generalize. I treat people the same way they treat me, regardless of nationality or race. In fact, I can honestly say that I treat some “bangalies” better than I treat kuwaities (seeing that most kuwaities have a lousy attitude). I honestly can’t see why kuwaities think there better than the rest especially since we aren’t better than them in anyway. Really weird.

(A) – u know .. lets do it .. lets hypothetically pretend that the guys intent is sound , would that justify his consciously agreed by all sound minds to be a extremely stupid , unreasonable and mentally unstable act ? , in my modest opinion : i say no . and here is my justifications:
1-no social fragment cares for a 5 fils
2-he wasted the police time , money and papers
3-he is ignorant on subjects of integrity and by rewarding him ur increasing his ignorance , and encouraging further stupid acts .
and an exp : lets say a guy killed a guy cause he thought he was the antichrist , if u analyse , the intention is sound + the deed is insane = insane ruling .
(B)- with all due love and respect ,, ur, mine or any other personal behavior to this is completely and utterly irrelevant .
i never generalized , in the English language when u use “we” , it means the ” mass majority ” so u cant accuse me of generalizing . and if u do its ur own interpretation .
