“IT’S OVER 29,000!!!”…. Pirated Games Confiscated in UAE

According to KhaleejTimes.com Microsoft Gulf and UAE authorities have raided 21 reseller stores and confiscated more that 29,000 pirated Xbox 360 video games in Sharjha, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

“The ramifications of piracy and the distribution of pirated goods will always negatively impact any economy and hinder growth,” said Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Aziz, Managing Director, UAE Ministry of Economy. In Sharjah, three people were arrested following raids by government authorities at various stores.

29,000 is nothing to what we have over here in Kuwait. I find it really funny how other forums and blogs say that it is a huge bust.
