Such similarity.. I don’t know who looks like the other… But you can always stick to your fanboyism…
I’m sure Mac fanboys will go “HP is mimicing Macbook pro” and HP and others will go “Macbook is mimicing HP”…
But hey, here’s something that would help you out who looks like the other… Steve Urkel sent an email to Jason D. O’Grady & David Morgenstern (The guys who provided the original post):
I was at a relatives house and someone saw my MacBook and said “Hey, I’ve got that HP also.” He was halfway joking, but his comment did point out a few things:
1. PowerBooks have always been very unique and immediately recognizable. But with this new design then I could see how people can easily mistake it for a plain old PC notebook. And after looking at his ‘06 HP next to my ‘08 MacBook then I’m realizing even more how ordinary the new models are.
2. In all your latest “glossy” rants, people seem to be getting defensive and missing the point because they feel it is an attack on Apple. This picture points out that the argument isn’t Apple specific because ANY machine that follows the glossy trend suffer from the glare issues

They may look the same from a distance, but their construction is completely different.
well, yea… macbook (machboos as I started to call it recently :P) is cool aluminum while hp is cheap plastic…
yet looks similar in a way or another y’know
Macbook’s are purely cosmetic and you guys actually buy them

seriously I respect both machboos and hp (7asha ghada mo laptops :P)… but i’m just pointing at the similarities…
after all, nissan tiida looks like peugeot 206/307, some kias looks like mercedeses and lancer ex 2008 looks like some lexuses from behind…
the list of similarity goes on… hope you get my point
