Yonggang Huang of Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, developed an eye-shaped camera. It’s curved like human eye.
The reason behind developing such camera is the desire to build camera sensors that bends. Normal sensors are flat and if bent, it will break. But this camera doesn’t because its made from square parts with electronic components and photodetectors connected by tiny wires that allows the whole thing to bend.
