Windows 7 features… I think…

I passed by LifeHacker and messed around abit… Found the “Windows 7 Features Leaked” thingy and my curiousity took over me… So I clicked… And I think I should share it with everyone…

Activation

Someiknda code generated by your hardware configuration… Or something similar…

Audit

Somekinda log that records computer’s activities which can be called by Event Viewer (Nothing special yet)… Ofcourse log can be modified and stuff…

BitLocker Drive Encryption

A way to encrypt your data in your HDD as you write to it or read from it… The encryption key could be saved in a USB drive, printed on some paper or text or given to a trusted network destination… This feature is not enabled by default (Though I recommend doing so… Specially in Kuwait… Girls don’t want their pictures to be exposed)…

Crypto Application Programming Interface (API) Diagnostics

A log used to record a program’s certification… Disabled by default… Turning it on could decrease the computer’s performance though Administrators could turn parts of it when needed… (I thought its just some API’s that enables other softwares and developers to use the logs easily… Bummer)

Device Information Retrieval

A feature that retrieves a device information from Microsoft side and showing them in device manager or whatever… (If it’s drivers made by Microsoft, I recommend you use’em as a Last Resort… But who knows, things could improve)…

Device Manager

Doesn’t differ much from the previous Device Managers… Well, as long as we know…

Driver Protection

Some feature that prevents drivers that’s known to cause stability problems from loading… Seems like things are improving… *BANZAI*

DAMN IT!!! TOO MANY FEATURES TO WRITE ABOUT!!!!

I’ll just leave a link so you could read it… Click here!
