Kuwait International Rally 2012 – Day 2: Trying out something new!

If you checked this post, you’ll see some rally shots which I learned a new fun thing to try on the upcoming Rally (Which happened few days ago).

I saw and talked to a guy who was using a fisheye lens and, well, I saw what he got and I was seriously amazed! I saw car and flying dirt in another perspective.

So I decided to give it a shot and see what goes. And sure you know it, these are some of the few shots I feel so proud of clicking!

I’d like to note that my fisheye lens is Rokinon 8mm. Which doesn’t have an auto focus (Which means I have to focus manually). The trick in getting these shots was to set the focus to 1.5 ~ 3 meters (Since thats the approximate distance between me and cars anyway) and raise the aperture to something like 8 or 11 stops.

Results? You got it!
First four aren’t fisheyed, the rest are!

Also, if you’re wondering how I looked like while clicking these pictures, I was literally running for the car and eating its dust! Like this:

  1. Thanks all!

And yes, yousefq8, you should! Start with a Rokinon; they’re relatively affordable and decent to test waters with
