To make a superconductor perform faster and have as less resistance as possible, you have to drop its temperature down.
And while making it, you’ll have to dip it in some liquids (Usually water).
So, these Japanese scientists were so drunk that they tried dipping them in booze, liquor, sake, wine and whatever. And funny thing is that they had better results than water and water + ethanol!!
