Patch for iLife security flaws…

And Mac OSX fanboys bluff about OSX being secured more than Windows’n’Linux…

The patch is to fix the vulnerability made by crafting a special JPG or TIFF images that would expose the system for code execution…

Don’t get me wrong (I always say that)… I know Mac OSX is a great OS specially in graphics and multimedia publishing and stuff… But it’s not flawless and not %100 secured… Same goes with Linux, Windows, Unix, BeOS, Solaris and any OS…

  1. Thanks to you guys, I’m having bad thoughts of turning this whole thing to Kuwait Linuxers… BUT NO!

  2. Technically, I am sure you are right. In terms of anecdotal evidence, my Mac never catches any viruses. I’m just a simple tool-user, and Macs are a nice, simple to use tool.

  3. dude, osx is really just a proprietary unix clone (BSD) with a twist. why pay for an os if there is a better one available and for FREE.

why don’t you try linux and then decide which is better.

OSX is superior in the “ease of use” and “graphic and multimedia publishing” fields… And its good in other fields as well but don’t best others

Not every FREE software is good… Same goes for PROPRIETARY software as well…

Well yea… Mac’s vulnerabilities are mostly 3rd party, but who makes the 3rd party softwares for Mac? mostly Apple… Ofcourse every system has its vulnerability and every 3rd party software got a vulnerability of itself
