This is my reply to patricksemaan’s post about thinking that Windows 7 would be like\worst than Windows Vista…
Even though the Beta version of Windows 7 eats less than 512MB of your RAM (C’mon, we got up to 4GB… %12.5 of your total RAM for the OS isn’t bad)
The system ran well on Lenovo S10 and installed pretty well on Asus EeePC1000H…
Though you have to install some WindowsXP drivers for some stuff… But hey, it’s a Beta version… Not fully out yet…
This is not a MAC vs PC post… It’s just a “Windows 7 might not suck like Windows Vista” post… You could check my previous posts about MAC vs PC if you’d like though

512mb is a lot mate, an OS that requires 4gb to run it smooth is a failure to start with.
I remember some friends telling me the exact same things about Windows ME, then again XP then again Vista (which was a complete failure) about how its gonna be better and faster and lighter…
The time will come and I will remind you (and my friends) again that Windows will remain like an old melted piece of rubber that gets stuck to your CPU and RAMS and just eat the memory out of them.

Ummm.. It only requires 512mb for the system to load… I stated that you have the rest of the memory to use… you could install 1GB, 2GB or 4GB… depends on your financial and capability states…

well as I stated… Vista is a phailure as Microsoft stated themselves…

Dude… It’s just a number I threw… Theoretically, 32-bit hardwares can’t exceed 4GB due to physical limitations (Which even 32-bit based Mac OSX systems will be limited to such RAM capacity as well since they ported from PowerPC to PC… Though 64-bit can go up to 16EB (ExaBytes)…
