Ooooh! Shiny Keyboard!!
Posted by Loolykinns Teh P1r473 in Concepts, Exploring Computerism, Fashion.. Wait!! What?!, RAND(), Technology on March 10, 2010
I hate the fact that it’s not not out yet -_-;

Look at it keyboard above!! It’s awesomely shiny!!
Anyway, I can safely consider this keyboard as a piece of art; futuristic looks, no keys or whatever (No need to worry about dusting it or thoroughly cleaning it up) and there’s some interesting technology in it as well…
This keyboard is made of backlights, force sensors, some new film stuffed somewhere inside.
Now I need a glass-looking computer case, glass looking screen, glass looking mouse, add some dancing LED lights somewhere in my room and it’ll be party tiem =D (NO! NOT PARTY IN MY TUMMY!!)
This shall end up in my “MUST HAVE” list… That I’ll need to create real soon
Real mice for real PCs
Posted by SIGTERMer in Hacks, RAND(), Technology, Weirdness on March 10, 2010
Yup, that mouse in the picture is a real mouse (part of it at least). some chick bought a mouse, ran a blade down its spine, pealed off its skin, and crammed a mouse inside of it. usually, I can stomach stuff like this, but this one is just plain sick (cool, but sick nevertheless). To get an idea on just how disturbing this gets, I’ll quote:
insert your fingers under the skin around the mouse’s torso to separate the skin from the body. This should be quite easy to do; just try not to punch through the abdominal wall into the stomach/guts area to avoid stinky smells. Sprinkle the Borax/cornmeal mixture into the nooks and crannies as you go.
I know this is usually Loolykinns’s line, but you really have to wonder what the kuwaiti version would be. my money is on a ‘9ab (Mastigure) keyboard XD
PS: if anyone actually has the stomach to pull this off, please try using it at your nearest coffee shop.
Light Peak

Well, USB 3.0 is around the corner and… Hold on one minute please…
“HEY USB!! I TOLD YOU TO KEEP LOOKING AT THE WALL IN THAT CORNER!! I WON’T LET GO OF YOU UNTIL YOU APOLOGIZE!!”

Anyway, as I was saying… USB 3.0 is around the corner and so is SATA/600. And now, INTEL is working on their new “Light Peak” concept that is literally some infrared lights pew-pewing through a long fibre-optic cable (Probably as long as longcat) with crap load of stuff you can attach from keyboards and mice to storage network devices.
This baby can do 10Gbps data transfer both ways at the same time (Just like a doggy-door) and can go up to 100Gbps with some controller upgrades.
According to INTEL, “Light Peak” would be ready to ship sometime during 2010.
Microsoft’s portable surface
Posted by Loolykinns Teh P1r473 in Concepts, Exploring Computerism, Gadgets, Microsoft, RAND(), SCIENCE!!, Technology on March 3, 2010
Yes, Microsoft Surface can’t be installed anywhere due to cost and size. So Microsoft Research are coming up with an alternative solution.

To make things short, it’s a combination of a projector and a camera. Not the first to come up with this concept (Light Blue Optics was there first and this is almost identical to that), but it’s nice to know that Microsoft is researching things and expanding their interests.
I’m still waiting for their Screen Concept to be out in the market.

Russel brown (Photoshop co-creator ) recently asked Ansca mobile to recreate the original photoshop 1.0 from 1990 (wow Photoshop is older than me)
It took only three days to do so using the corona SDK.

First USB 3.0 hub by Buffalo… MOOOooooo!!
Posted by Loolykinns Teh P1r473 in Exploring Computerism, SCIENCE!!, Technology on February 20, 2010
I know Buffalo don’t moo… I just felt like moo-ing…

Now, I recommend everyone to refrain from buying any serious laptop yet since USB 3.0 is almost around the corner. Though computer users are safe since there’s PCI-e to USB 3.0 adapters and USB 3.0 external hard drives.
WiLink 7.0

GADGETS ARE SHRINKING!!! OH NOES!!!!!

According to GIZMODO, Texas Instruments cramped 802.11n, FM TX\RX, GPS and Bluetooth in a single chip.
Do you know what that means?
Less space, less power consumption and less funds hunger.
Though I’m concerned over coverage and reception. That, and if someone will ever implement this in laptops and computers… Hmmmmm…….
