Those who sell Virtual Gold…

Carrying on with the MMO crappism, I found this study in BBC News…

There’s a study made by Manchester University researchers (Not Manchester United you idiots!!) which concludes that

Nearly half a million people are employed in developing countries earning virtual goods in online games to sell to players, a study has found.

I mean c’mon… Gold farming is immoral and illegal leaving the fact that its just plain lame… And y’know who’s lamer? Those who actually buy that gold… And I’m sure we have alot of’em here in Kuwait considering the fact that I actually know some…

Seriously, where’s the fun if you just buy some virtual money\gold just to get gears? where’s did the gaming spirit go? What happened to “enjoying what I earn” or “I got what I got by earning them”?

And whats with those idiots? wasting their life over working long hours for little payment? instead, grab a book, learn, get a degree of some kind and lead a better life!!

Its alright if the game legally sells ya virtual gold\money for real ones… But doing it illegally is a fun-killer…

Well, not like I’m a MMORPG guy, but this is one of the facts that made me hate such game genre!!!

What could “Cheap Phood Rush” lead to…

Yes… PHOOD… I like to use “PH” as “F” sometimes… To me, PH express more than F…

Anyways, there was some cheap food offer in some supermarket in Beijing… And due to that fact, That supermarket got raided by hungry zombies (Not really… Just people “mostly retirees” who wants cheap food) with injuries… Some went to hospitals… Some had broken bones…

Similar event happened last year too, but there was injuries and actually three died…

Imagine some supermarket with such offer in Kuwait… Boy, I’d like to see how it’d turn out

18 hours of beating an MMO boss… PWNZ0R3D And PHAILING!!!

Yep, thats right…

A group of high-leveled FFXI players tried to kick some boss ass called “Pandemonium Warden” for 18 hours yet they couldn’t…

To me, it means few things:
*   MMORPG players are mostly lifeless… I mean, even the Square-Enix guys are warning you not to play alot
*   MMORPG games likes to torture and ruin lives… We’re human… We can barely resist our desires
*   Those high-leveled players should’ve gathered more players
*   This “Pandemonium Warden” boss thingy shouldn’t be faught unless Square-Enix do something about it!!!

Yet I’m sure alot of Kuwaiti MMORPG-Freeks would try to do something similar if not riskier… We have such crazy lifeless people in here >_<

VIA ARTiGO Pico-ITX

Ofcourse, everyone uses a computer (almost)… But there are people who just use it to watch videos, play musics, check email and browse the internet… So, are you finding the space that the computer takes annoying? The Mac’s iTV costs like crazy? Got FastTelco Internet service but wasn’t lucky t get the Mac iTV?

Here’s the deal:

As small as the picture above… Buy the kit, buy a RAM (DDR2 533MHz), buy a Hard Disk Drive (PATA… Or the common “IDE” name)

Unfortunately its not available in Kuwait… Gotta order that fun-pack which costs $299… Pretty cheap in price… And actually I’m planning on getting few of those for my own fun…

Here’s the VIA ARTiGO Pico-ITX link.

Arresting the “World Fastest Office Chair”!!!

Germany won’t have enough weirdness…

http://www.geekologie.com/2007/07/24/office-chair-bike.jpg

This is not related to the article... Just a funny picture that I think it might fit http://www.geekologie.com/2007/07/24/office-chair-bike.jpg

Some 17-years old kids invented as the German Police described “what may be the world’s fastest office chair”…

They made it by adding bicycle breaks, metal frame and a lawnmower engine… I mean thats what idleness could lead to…

They might be charged for several violations; defying insurance regulations, driving without license and violating registration requirements…

Bad thing they didn’t share the top speed it reached… But seriously, these fellows shouldn’t be harmed because they’re idle and were creative and productive… They should be invested in other stuff to improve things…

I’m sure we have such people in here that’d have a huge amount of idle hours which needs to be invested to improve this “moving backward country”… But who’s actually giving a hand? I’m sure there are some institutes, societies and others who’s actually giving hands not just a hand… But that’s not really enough… WE NEED MOAR HANDS!! MOOOAAAARR!!!

Anyways, Here’s the Associated Press link.

Why I hate Sultan Center

I went to sultan center today around 1:30 craving for Ice Tea…

Maybe my timing wasn’t totally right, but I love going there at this late hour… So quite… Not crowded… Peaceful…

The annoying thing is, their goods selection… I know they bring amazing and weird stuff from unknown places (Mostly from USA)… But recently they’ve been lacking in their selection…

So here what happened today:

I was craving for “Lipton Ice Tea” which is a common good in most supermarkets… So I went to Sultan Center in Sharq Mall hoping to find some… NONE!!!

So I thought of finding any drinkable Ice Tea there… NOTHING!!!… There was powdered Ice Tea which isn’t drinkable unless I mix it with water and I wanted to drink some NOW!

Then I thought of checking the great collection of carbonated drinks they usually bring… All I could see is the diet “Dr.Pepper” stuff and diet “A&W” and the normal Pepsies and Cokes… Why diet? Where’s the regular ones?

I ended up buying “Pringles Extreme” and “3 Cadbury Twirls”…

So I thought of paying the Salmiya branch a visit… And I was thinking if there was no instantly drinkable Ice Tea I’ll just go home and sleep…

And yes… No Ice Tea… I really got disapointed because there’s no good goods in there anymore (Well nothing that I’d buy… And when I usually go there I just try weird and new things)…

I felt like browsing around… No new good chocolates… No new good cookies and biscuts… No new good drinks… I ended up buying “Mango Madness Cocktail Snapple” just because I felt weird going in, browsing for half an hour and go out buying nothing…

That was it… I mean, not like I didn’t ask the guys over there where’s the Ice Tea… I did… They told me there’s only powdered one…

I might went nuts about Ice Tea and all… But its not just Ice Tea, its their selection of goods collection… OK they might have a great selection in kitchen stuff, bathroom stuff, cooking stuff, baking stuff, honey, jamz and the list goes on…

But for the instantly eatables\drinkables (And by that I mean cookies, biscuts, chocolates, carbohydrated drinks and normal juices, breads’n'bakes, candies, gums and whatever similar), no noticable change since March I guess… Almost same drinks… Almost same chocos and candies… Almost same chips… EXACTLY THE SAME COOKIES FOR A YEAR OR TWO… Even the local “Lipton Ice Tea” wasn’t there for ages…

Well… Thats Why I hate Sultan Ceter… But the problem is, it really became a habit to go there and hunt for stomach satisfaction every now’n'then… If Carfour can open up till 3:00 I’d go there all the way from my place (Which is abit further than Sultan Center anyways)…

RedBull is reeaaalllllllly bad for the blood…

That energy drink that taste\pee like pee (as a really close friend of mine described… And I apologize for using such word but hey, I agree) can’t get enough of such issues…

As Scott Willoughby, lead researcher from the Cardiovascular Research Centre at the Royal Adelaide Hospital described:

One hour after they drank Red Bull, (their blood systems) were no longer normal. They were abnormal like we would expect in a patient with cardiovascular disease

Scott tested the sugar-free 250ml RedBull on 30 adult and tested cardiovascularsystem before and after 1 hour of drinking it. It developed symptoms normally associated with cardiovascular disease…

RedBull is already banned in some European countries due to health risks…

The thing is that most of Kuwaiti youth are consuming this beverage like crazy… More than one can a day! Even some of’em drink it to satisfy their thirst instead of clear water!! I MEAN COME ON!!! REDBULL ISN’T THAT TASTY NEITHER GOOD FOR HEALTH!! IT TASTE AND SMELL BAD!!!

We should think wise’n'twice before having such drink… It’s really a health risk in the long run…

First Zero-Watt Monitor

I know that Fujitsu Siemens are awesome (even though their laptops looks bulky’n'ugly)… But I never saw that coming…

Fujitsu Siemens is now ready to ship their Zero-Watt Monitors… THIS IS CRAZY!!!

I think this would go pretty well with out “Tarsheed” thingy we’re facing here in Kuwait…

Here’s the Engadget Link.

Apple is becoming more vulnerable…

I’m still bothered by those MAC users who assume MAC is more secured than Windows (even some of’em claimed its more secured than any linux distro)

Even some couldn’t believe the PWN2OWN thingy I talked about…

I mean c’mon… IT GOT OWNED IN 2 MINUTES… A SYSTEM THATS MALWARELESS THAT GOT OWNED IN 2 MINUTES… HOW INSECURED WOULD IT BE IF PEOPLE WROTE MALWARES FOR MAC?

Anyways… As another Slashdot article says, Apple clients still vulnerable even after DNS patch…

Seriously, it’s funny that a system is still vulnerable after a patch release that’s supposed to fix that vulnerability… Then again, there’s no malwares involved…

I’d like to witness the day when MAC users frustrates from malwares… Ooooooh that’d be so much fun…

August the 2nd of 1990

The day that our country got betrayed by a neighbour country… By a country that we’ve been aiding for around 10 years… A country that we’ve been having issues with few times…

Things might be more cooler than few years ago, but I (and others as well) will never forget this day…

This is the day that started ripping our country off… My cousin was a POW (who was a civilian)… I still don’t know if he’s alive or not…

This is the day that started ripping our country off… Iraqi forces burned our oil which caused an enviromental issue that we’re still suffering from…

This is the day that started ripping our country off… Iraqi forces just torn our peace apart… Stole stuff (and I mean MASSIVE stuff)… It was more like a theives invasion than a war on Kuwait…

I’ll just some googled images…
