Internet Explorer Six has passed away

On March 1, 2010, everyones’ most despised favorite browser passed away after almost a decade of loyalty and hard work. some might hate it for it’s lousy CSS support while others might loath it for it’s rather abundant security holes. but now is not the time to speak harshly about our late browser.

A funeral was held yesterday in Denver. where people came to pay their last respects to the beloved browser. Funeral attire was encouraged and teeshirts were made available.

Some might argue that ie6 is still running minimized in their task bar. but in reality, they are just in shock and aren’t prepared to let go. good bye old friend, you shall be dearly missed.

iPhone users can now Photoshop on the go

Russel brown (Photoshop co-creator ) recently asked Ansca mobile to recreate the original photoshop 1.0 from 1990 (wow Photoshop is older than me)

It took only three days to do so using the corona SDK.

Someone is making some ads for Q8GEEKS.ORG!!!

Jaber Hopital (Under-Construction)

History

Last year,2008-2009, I was taking some extra lessons after school, every day I had to pass near Jaber Hospital, the one near Hateen and Al-Zahra (currently under-construction). Almost every time, on the billboard/wall, I wrote “Q8Geeks.org” and some of our names “Q8geek”, “AnxiousNut”, “SIGTERMer”, and “Fencer Darkwind”(The old members) by removing some of the dust off the wall. I always thought that those will never be read by any geek, I just did it to waste time till I get to the end of the sidewalk.

Today

I was walking with Q8BKman on the Jaber Hospital’s sidewalk when I realized that there were some advertisements on the same billboard I used to write on, I WAS SHOCKED because they were also about THIS SITE!!. I knew these are not mine, they seem “fresh”. So apparently there is a person(or more) with us here that was writing these. At first, I could only read “8 geek”, but then after we walked a little bit more, it all was there.

This is funny in a way, probably he/she said that no geek would read it, but WRONG, I DID!! lol. What really confused me is that there wasn’t any sign of who might have this person be, no nicknames until I found one … a useless one. It was “Mr. Dollar”!!! But thanks Mr. Dollar :) and  can you tell us who you are?

See, this web-site is becoming popular!! Congratulations everybody, you too Mr. Dollar!

Evidence

Oh yeah, we even got names

It’s still there if you want to check them out, if it’s worth it from your point of view! BTW, we added some “Q8GEEKS.ORG”s and one “Anxious Nut”!

Al-Hamra Tower, here we come =D

Well, I managed to secure permission to climb Al-Hamra tower and taking pictures of Kuwait from the highest spot in Kuwait as well as taking pictures of the highest building in Kuwait.

I managed a list of 10 amateur photographers who’d grasp this chance as an educational opportunity. It will be my water tester so if it worked perfectly, I might get another chance and invite more people.

Wait for our pictures =D

Almost done switching to JustHost

Alrighty, I atleast freeked out 3 guys I know, so I don’t know how many visitors I’e actually freeked out.

Anyway, I finished the required emails to move my website from Palmhost to Justhost.

Things are still in progress so you might as well witness some stability issues and delay in browsing. Well, Justhost are backing up my whole website from Palmhost to their and it’ll be running good hopefully soon.

Palmhost weren’t bad. I just demand more and they can’t provide me with my demand. Which is why I’m shifting away from them to Justhost.

Justhost, in the other hand, were so responsive and cooperative that I thought it’ll take a little bit longer to reach the stage I am in right now.

I’ll let you guys know whenever I finish moving my stuff. =D

Switching to JustHost

Alrighty, I’m taking this big step and move my stuff to Justhost from Palmhost…

Why? I’ll tell you why…

1) Palmhost became less stable than before
2) No PHP5 support. I mean c’mon, I do need PHP5!!
3) Security issues (Remember the major Palmhost breach?)

I think the above 3 reasons are good enough for me to switch to JustHost. I hope things gets better over there =D

Operation “Im in ur interwebz”: ABORTION!! ABORTION!!!!!

Due to some circumstances, I had to abort my mission…

It was a wild run, I discovered funny and awesome things… But the journey must come to an absolute end due to some future plans that would benefit the blog, the blog readers and probably myself…

It was an educating mission… I’ll keep my research’s findings to myself… But one thing to be said: Packet sniffing while VoIP is fun!!

I’ll (for sure) invest in other operations for educational purposes only =D
