Seems like Microsoft didn’t thought of cracking Windows 7 Activation in a bad way… I’m really impressed =D

Microsoft actually has some dark history about activation cracks just after being released (Remember thie first WGA javascript hack?
)

Apparently, some guys just cracked the Windows 7 activation which got Microsoft telling people that what they’ve done is a big no-no… Like, they shouldn’t install cracked and illegal copies of Windows 7 since there’s a high possibility that someone will stuff that Windows with some sort of malware (Common sense anyone?)… It’s an expected things for such action.
But what I didn’t expect was that they’re happy about this. Microsoft actually was happy about this because, if it means something, it means that there’s ALOT of people who’d want Windows 7 installed on their system (Raising my hand here)…

The image below explains how awesome that helmet is…

This helmet cost $270~$280 with no-fog face shield and anti-scratch retractable SpeedView sun visor.
Even though I don’t own a motorcycle (Letting alone a normal bicycle), I’m tempted to buy one of those just for the hell of it

Apple vs Psystar: Waking the sleep

I had to add something dramatic even though it kinda failed >.>

After declaring strategic bankruptcy, they decided to release a new hackintosh and actually stand up again… And now they’re having some (I assume better) lawyers that would atleast provide protection against Apple’s suing mechanism

Note that this game is available on Windows XP, Vista, 7 (With a little workaround since it’s not supported yet) and Mac OS SUCKS… There’s some Linux workaround though…

So, you’re rejecting Google’s Voice iPhone apps for iWet T-Shirts…Good liek theeeees

Now that I’ve retrieved most of my feeds, I shall post stuff…

According to BetaNews, iTunes app store pulled Google Voice Apps even they’re out on Android and BlackBerry. We all know that Apple has weird and random policy about their iTunes app stores and stuff, but why would something like iWet T-Shirts be allowed (Hot, isn’t it?
) while Google Voice Apps don’t?
But then again, that iWet app would be a good fapping material for the boneheads here in Kuwait

A new era begins: Bought two new lenses…
Posted by Loolykinns Teh P1r473 in Announcements, FUN!, OMG PHOOODING!!, Photography on July 29, 2009
Until I retrieve my feeds list, I’ll be boring you with this “A new era begins” series…
Anyway, I bought two new lenses yesterday:
4.5/5.6 55mm-300mm and 1.4/50mm
I got those in a great deal… Both lenses are in great GREAT conditions and the price is really reasonable…
In any event, I took my camera for a spin today to see what I can pull off of’em… Unfortunately, my boss called and said I’m late for my shift (Don’t you hate shift-based jobs?)
Nothing special in these two pictures because, well, I didn’t have enough time to poke around with stuff… So yea, bear with it *RAWR*

A new era begins: Figuring out the best environment for me

Everytime I tell a friend of mine about my adventure with my new laptop (Formatting it several times in the first week), they feel like smacking me in the head…

Here’s the thing, I do that because I need to…
So lemme tell you about that little adventure:
I went back home with the (FUCK YEA!!! I HAS LAPTOP) look in my face, turned it on (I literally had to rub it… Gently
), and POOF!! Windows Vista 64bit Home…
I actually screamed “NOOOOOOOOooooooooooo!!!” when my sisters passed by thinking something wrong happened… And I’m right, Vista is wrong for me… So I had to install Windows 7 (It is something I was really looking forward to use on laptop)…
So I installed it with my tools and everything… I stayed up from 23:00 to 02:00 just downloading my gears and moving my files from here to there…
Went to bed, woke up at 5:00, passed by my friend so we could go to work together, I sat in my desk (More like a station) in 7:00, turned on my laptop (Had to rub it again… Sony demands more than Toshiba which I used to spank
), I entered my password… WRONG!!!
I TRIED EVERY SINGLE FUCKING PASSWORD I’VE BEEN USING IN THE LAST 7 YEARS!!! THEY’RE ALL WRONG!!!
So what to do? Easy; RECOVERY!!!! Which worked like a charm… Though I had to re-download Windows 7 in my work (Didn’t take much time… 1 Hour only) while recovering the laptop… And when I reached the END of recovery I was like “Wait, I was writing the password correctly, BUT IN ARABIC KEYBOARD!!!”…
How many formats so far? Two… Why? Installing Windows 7 and forgetting my password >.> …
Now I got my stuff back together then I downloaded BackTrack4 Pre since I really wanted to use it, like, centuries ago… Burned the ISO file in a DVD and actually installed it on my laptop… But I didn’t like it much because it lacks hardware support… I mean, the tools there work perfectly, but I can’t use it for normal uses (Ex. Wireless manager didn’t work well)…
So I wanted to remove it… I still have my tools downloaded in my station’s computer, so a recovery then Windows 7 is a quick option… So I did…
“Wait a minute, GRUB is still installed on my MBR!!! FUCK NOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooo!!!” I said as the recovery process failed since the system won’t boot because the GRUB was there and the recovery doesn’t handle MBR <,< … Now it’s three…
I learned my lesson with installing BackTrack4 Pre (Thank you moe for triggering me to install BackTrack =| … So I installed my Windows 7 and tools back… Had issues with WinPcap (Since it doesn’t support Windows 7, yet)… So I thought of installing it on my 4GB flash memory… Which failed (It demands more capacity… The big baby!!)…
So I went on the “Fuck it! I’ll just use this laptop for normal uses”… That’s what I thought at first…
I found my workarounds to get WinPcap work in my laptop even though I’m using Windows 7, my ARP POISONING tool(s) running perfectly in promiscuous mode… Work’s boredom got me into wanting to install EVE Online (Yes, I decided to give EVE Online another spin) and as always, there’s an issue because Windows 7 is not supported yet, so poking around with DLL files and stuff lead to another format… I poked around with DLLs and system files that lead to this result… Atleast now I know to set things right…
Four formats so far…
I installed my Windows 7, my tools, my Visual Studio 2008 Express, WinPcap, Microsoft Network Monitor x64 tool (Which is awesome btw), Steam, EVE Online (AND IT WORKED!!)…
Now, I’m still not quite comfortable with my laptop… And since my Wireless supports (Win)Pcap, I’m going to poke around more and obviously format few more times… I’m planning on installing xubuntu on my 4GB flash USB thingy or Ubuntu on my laptop (Since Slackware isn’t a good choice for me, yet)…
Talked long? Well, it’s less than what you guys deserve, it’s been a god damn while since I last time wrote something (I still need to figure out a way to retrieve my RSS feeds… Which is why I haven’t been posting much lately)
Now if you excuse me, I’ll go jam on [Garbage - Cherry Lips (Go baby go!)]… Don’t ask why I’m addicting it now, it’s just a funny song for me
A new era begins: I bought a new laptop!
Posted by Loolykinns Teh P1r473 in Announcements on July 23, 2009
Lemme tell you a story which might justify why I haven’t been posting anything lately…
I was at work few days ago downloading fapping material and stuff (Fapping material is a joke… Or is it?
)… I went to ask my boss about something and went back with a dead laptop that wouldn’t turn on AT ALL…
I actually gave up on my 4~5 years old laptop which, after few hours, it came back to life =D
That’s where I realized that I will need a newer cheap laptop till 2010 (Or atleast when laptops gets stuffed with USB3)…
So I passed by Eureka and X-CITE to check their Netbook deals… That’s where I spotted my laptop and literally fell in love with it’s green, glowing power button and isolated keyboard…
In any event, here’s pictures of my abused laptop (Which I’m still using to download stuff… I’ll turn it into my lab rat once I go back home):

The monitor is literally broken (Explains the lines)… And because of that, it displays an inverted view of my screen… I have to squeeze the monitor just to fix the colors (And actually stuff the frame with some shrink pipes)…

Oh, the cat… I was bored…

And my charger is messed up, I had to turn it into a live bomb… I wonder which wire should I cut to disarm the bomb

As you can see, the monitor jack you see is literally busted… Nothing attaches it to the main chassis which is why I’m holding the monitor with another shrink pipe

And the other joint is barely attached

Oh my… It’s so dirteeeeh… So dirty that the dirt won’t get wiped away!!
Now, you’ve seen how I suffer everyday with this laptop… It has sentimental value ofcourse, which is why I’ll be abusing it when I move back to my house…
In the mean time, check out my new laptop… I call it “Max”:

My reason for actually loving Max

Hope you enjoyed the show =D … I’m still struggling to get used to this laptop and install my stuff in it (Which means I’ll have to format it atleast for 10 times till I get things right)… So until then, wait for more weird stuff =D
Live Android
Posted by slartibarfaster in Announcements, Downloads, Exploring Computerism, FUN!, Hacks, Linux, OS on July 20, 2009

while on the search about Chrome OS, i was introduced to Live Android which is a OS for T-Mobile G1.
they offered a free iso image to download so i did so, first trying to burn it into a cd but didn’t work so i used the virtual machine way.
Anyways.. it is quit basic, a simple mobile OS, the version i had was clean no extra apps, no nothing, there is a terminal in it, so its probably java built on linux or something like that.
if you want to give it a try click here.
