LOL @ Comcast

Engadget always draw a smile on my face (if not a huge stupid wide open laugh)… But seems there’s another rival now… Wired!!

As I’m checking, I saw this post about Comcast.net being hijacked by some hackers due to hatred… I don’t know why people at U.S hates Comcast but as those hackers justified their reason “I’m tired of their shitty service.” said EBK…

I’m sure they’re much better than our ISPs in here.

So it made me think, Why don’t our hackers do the same with out ISPs?? Y’know, even if they got caught, Vitamine “W” will bail’em out hopefully and get hired somewhere decent…

Our ISPs sucks.
* Qualitynet’s customer support and sales services sucks, I once had to hold on the phone for an HOUR just to know their DSL prices (yes… DSL… bohohoo) and they couldn’t help me out!!
* FastTelco might be a good ISP but COST LIKE CRAZY!!!!!… I’ve tried’em as a corporate client (my dad got something from’em long time ago) they were good in customer support but their prices were reaching the roof!!
* UnitedNetworks is another story; they have great prices for home users, less reasonable prices for corporates and THEY SUCK WITH A STRAW WHEN IT GETS TO CUSTOMER SUPPORT!!!… Y’know, back when I used to hang at my dad’s office, we got 32 dedicated IP Addresses… And whenever something goes wrong they blame my IP Address for generating traffic even though my computer is PHYSICALLY disconnected and the IP Address that it holds is not active!!! Like what the hell? You’re our Tech Support, you’re more like reading a scriptious instructions or something that has “BLAME THAT GUY FIRST”!!
* KEMS isn’t that good as well. Ok their prices are crazingly amazing when it gets to corporates. Stable and reliable internet connectivity. Decently good for home users (Cept for S.Surra… They shouldn’t go that high)… Their customer support is kinda similar to UnitedNetworks. But they only act like that if the person talking to them isn’t a tech guy…  But I gotta hand it to them; When they face a problem from their side, they give you more little details about the problem. Even if it was from the customer side, they give you little more details on whats going on and probable reasons of whats happening and ways to solve stuff…

My Ideal ISP is the following:
Mixing UnitedNetwork’s home users prices with FastTelco’s and KEMS’ Customer and Tech support along with KEMS’ reliable connection…

They all suck!! Someone should strike’em so they’d know that we hate’em with passion! =P

Anyways here’s the Wired link related to that Comcast incident

Whats wrong in Salmiya?

All I could hear is Police and Ambulance sirens… And I’ve been here at Dunkin’Donuts since 20:00 and its already 00:03 (Yes… I started to love the place)…

Anyone knows what happened, was happening or even still happening?

The Safat guys must’ve saw this post so whoever knows please comment whats going on!

NowPublic and my Spinning Coffee picture

Since I started going to Dunkin’Donuts, things started to go in some weird direction. Weird doesn’t mean bad… It just means something I’m totally not used to but could be good…

Well… This time it IS good!!!

Got back home, attached my BandRich to my computer and started my flash Xubuntu in my laptop, shared the connection and updated my flash…

Restarted my laptop and started Windows XP… Checked my email and I saw a new Flickr email:

Hi Flickr user,

We at NowPublic are working on coverage of Dunkin Donuts
pulling Rachel Ray ad, and your image would be a great
addition. We would very much appreciate its use, with
proper attribution to you of course. You are also welcome
to add to the story in the comments field, all accessible
through the link below. If you run into any problems, feel
free to contact me at XXX@XXXXXXXXX.XXX.

So I agreed and approved the picture… Never thought something like this would happen… I mean c’mon, I’m used to bad luck and all… But this is SO NICE!!! SO GREAT!!! Another motive to get deeper into photography (which means I must buy that Olympus e-520).

Here’s the picture’s link.
Here’s the NowPublic link.

Enjo~y…

I dare ANYONE to end this endless quiz!!!

OK … I was talking to one of my friends while I was in Dunkin’Donuts doing nothing but downloading some videos via RapidShare (Yes I know… they suck…). So I got the “Why don’t you take this endless quiz?” suggestion… And I did.

I swear to god, it made me laugh like crazy!!!!! I laughed that I had to give up!!!

Here’s the link… And please tell me how far you went

LOL @ MacBook Air

Seems like there is another use for MacBook Air. Well atleast for the German…

As a daily ritual I browsed Engadget and found this article that German used it to CUT BREAD!!!! I mean imagine a bakery shop using MacBook Air to cut bread… Interesting =P.

And it could be used as a lethal weapon, Someone cut someone else’s elbow in a fight… Imagine a bunch of fancy 3agad fighting with MacBook Air!!!!

Here’s the link

The REAL Magneto Kid!!!

While I was checking my bookmarks I ran across this website which reminds me of a kid who DESTROYS EVERY SINGLE COMPUTER HE TOUCHES (boy I want to do that too)!!!

According to the articles I’ve read about it, they think it got nothing to do with magnetic related issues. It must be something related to static electricity. They had to ground the computer and wrap a static-wrap to his wrist o he could use a computer normally…

Here’s a Youtube Video about it.
Here’s an article… And here’s another article

Why can’t we have similar Acer computers here in Kuwait?

OK… As a daily basis, I visit engadget every now’n'then… And here’s an AMAZING COMPUTER Acer made…

ACER PREDATOR!!!

Engadget even compared it to Alienware Area-51 ALX … Amazing… Why can’t we have something similar to that here in Kuwait??

Should’ve seen that coming… VIAGRAAH!!!

I ate my Dunkin’ Donuts… Drank half of my black coffee (Orders to cut coffee from above)… Though of dragging a paper and browse it up since i haven’t done that in ages…

And I ran across this article. Al-Watan newspaper, Page 25, Friday, 23th of May, 2008 (After translating it with google language tools):

Aims to end the state of frustration

Symposium calls for the government regardless Viagra tablets for citizens

Google language tools wouldn’t translate the article correctly so I’m going to write it in short:

The government should give away 60 Viagra pills yearly for every man. It solved alot of issues in European countries assuring that it’ll solve alot of issues in here as well… Stating that 35 million men around the world have consumed 1.8 Billion Viagra pills over the last few years…

Thats funny… After reading the page’s title, it mentioned Egypt.

The thing is, THEY SHOULD NEVER THINK OF VIAGRA BECAUSE IT’LL CAUSE MORE ISSUES!!! THEY ALREADY HAVE OVER-FLOWING POPULATION!!!

It’ll be funnier if that actually happened in Kuwait, Families would be torn apart because some 20s guy wanted to have good time with his teenager gf… They DO have good time but they didn’t consider safety measurements… So the girl comes back with a kid or two (twins), then the family splits and things gets messy.

Its not like its useless… IT IS USEFUL, for those married men who REALLY NEEDS the pills!! Those who have health issues and weakness issues related to such thing…

It’s like giving a loaded gun to a man. Whether he use it correctly or miss and cause others harm!

The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf infront of Qasr Al-Seif: Day 2

I was bored and wandering alone in Gulf Street… So I thought of giving that place another shot…

Went there yesterday around 22:00… Give’n'Take… Couldn’t write this post due to my laziness (I woke up around 21:10)… Didn’t stay much there…

Good things happened:
*   Still quite… No big noise.
*   Ordered their Hot Chocolate… Large Size… 1.500KD… Taste GEEWD (But not as good as their VANILLAAAA).
*   Still decent taste of music… But I still use my iPod.
*   Lively and spirited staff… Even though I asked’em for 5 minutes to decide what to order, they kept nagging abit…

Bad things happened:
*   Still no WiFi… I had to use my Wnet card (Which I always do regardless the WiFi existance =P).
*   Seats are still annoying… I have to bend my back to use the laptop… Unless I put my laptop on my lap.

*   Parking the car wasn’t as smooth as first time… Yet it wasn’t as hard as… lets say, parking my car in my college…
*   I gotta keep my iPod’s volume down… Somewhere around %85…

Conclusion:
The place is quite… Maybe it’ll be the only reason to go there… That, and their Hot VANILLAAAAAH!!!

Dunkin’ Donuts: IMPROVEMENTS!!!

Yea, I gotta admit… They really improved…

The restroom is becoming much cleaner… I don’t know if those messy customers decreased (hope not) or they workers in here pushed it harder.

And few minutes before writing this port, a new paper thingy (I don’t know what to call it… so it’s a thingy) have been spreading around on every table. I’ll quote whats written on it:

Starting June 1st

Every 1KD you spend

On Dunkin’Donuts Products you receive

2 Hours of free internet

Oh boy, I could start my Xubuntu USB Flash Drive and update stuff while sipping coffee for 2 hours… AMAZING!!!… This offer even beats Caribou Coffee’s offer which goes something similar to:

“Get a free internet hour whenever you buy something”

I likie the improvements… Wish for the best =D
